The Sports Report allows more than a sound bite for newsmakers beyond the court and sidelines on current or breaking local, regional and national sports stories. 
The interviews will be live one on one or over the telephone. The program runs Tuesday between 2 and 5-minutes of sports related information.

MVC - Outdoor Track and Field Championships

The Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships were hosted by Wichita State University at Cessna Stadium May 12th through 13th. The mens and womens team were favored to win. The women captured the title, while the men finished second.
In multi-sport events, WSU Junior Tanya Friesen, won the Heptathlon wth 5472 points. Friesen is headed to NCAA nationals and listen to her talk with KFDI's John Wright on The Sports Report.
