KFDI Deputy News Director John Wright talks about humanitarian efforts in Iraq. Wright interviews Amy Angel, who spent 18 months living in Iraq on a U.S. base while trying to rehabilitate terrorists. Wright also looks into a recent rally in Wichita for Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch officer in Florida in January.
KFDI's George Lawson interviews Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer, Wichita Vice-Mayor Lavonta Williams and City Councilman Jeff Longwell. The city leaders provided an overview of the issues they discussed at the Annual Congressional City Conference of the National League of Cities, which was held Mar. 10-14 in Washington, D.C. Mayor Brewer serves on the NLC board of directors.

KFDI News Director Dan Dillon discusses the Salvation Army's efforts in disaster relief after severe weather struck Harveyville in late February. Dillon interviews Dee Smith, division disaster services director for Kansas and Western Missouri. Dillon also talks with Tyler Rasmussen and Brian Carroll, who work for the Salvation Army in Wichita.
KFDI reporter Julia Schwinn talks about a proposed bond issue for Derby Public Schools. Schwinn interviews USD-260 Superintendent Craig Wilford. The district wants to build two new middle schools and make other improvements.
KFDI Reporter George Lawson talks about a vote scheduled in Wichita on Feb. 28, 2012, in which citizens will decide if developers will be allowed to use guest tax rebates to help finance a project to convert a downtown building into a boutique hotel. Lawson interviews guests on both sides of the issue. Tulsa developer Paul Kouri is in favor of the program. Bob Weeks is against it. Weeks is chairmain of Tax Fairness for all Wichitans, a group that was formed to oppose the financing plan.
KFDI News Reporter Marc LaVoie discusses the problem of "dental deserts" in Kansas, areas where rural residents have to drive long distances to receive dental care. LaVoie interviews Dr. Stanley Wint, a practicing periodontist and former president of the Kansas Dental Foundation.
KFDI Deputy News Director John Wright interviews Rhonda Walker, CEO of Miracles, Inc., a private, non-profit, faith-based agency that provides addiction treatment services for women. Wright also interviews Diana Ushery, a rheumatoid arthritis sufferer who has had her own struggles with prescription drug addiction.
KFDI reporter Wil Day discusses an effort to abolish capital punishment in Kansas. Day interviews Donna Schneweis, Chairman of the Board of the Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty.

In light of the recent opening of the Kansas Star Casino just minutes south of Wichita, KFDI Deputy News Director John Wright discusses the issue of gambling addiction. The state-owned casino provides a percentage of its revenue to gambling addiction treatment. Wright interviews Bill Miskell, Public Information Officer with the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.
KFDI News reporter George Lawson interviews Andrew Crane, a young Wichita man who is living physical disabilities, including partial blindness and cerebral palsy. Crane is the co-founder of a support group for the visually impaired and an energetic advocate for an agency that provides guide dogs for the blind.
