Friday, January 27, 2012

Dozens of volunteers will be wearing their summer swim attire Saturday, Feb. 4 at O.J. Watson Park.

The brave souls will jump into the freezing cold lake for the 12th Annual Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics of Kansas.

The event will include a 1 mile run/walk, called the Polar Strut, plus a chili feed, music and a silent auction.

Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $75 for the Plunge and $20 for the Strut.  Log on to http://www.ksso.org/wichita for information on registration and events.
