Wichita police have cited 6 businesses for selling alcoholic beverages to minors. This happened during a compliance check that was conducted Wednesday evening by police and state alcoholic beverage control agents.
Lieutenant Doug Nolte said the officers used underage customers to attempt purchases of alcohol, during a check of 30 businesses across the city. Nolte said citations, representing 9 criminal charges, were issued.
Police identified the businesses that were cited as Dave's Liquor Store at 847 South Oliver, the Wichita Suites at 5211 East Kellogg, the Hilton Garden Inn at 2041 North Bradley Fair Parkway, a Phillips 66 service station at 1250 South Rock Road, Noodles & Co. at 3300 North Rock Road, and Nill's at 10,001 East Kellogg.
Nolte said more compliance checks are planned in the future to make sure businesses are complying with the terms of their liquor licenses.
