Wichita State University and the group Numana, fell short of their goal of one-million meals for the people of Haiti over the weekend.
A spokeswoman says volunteers packaged 641,000 meals that will be sent and on the ground by the end of the week in earthquake stricken Haiti. The event took place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Wichita State University Hughes Metroplex in the 2900 block of North Oliver.
