Wichita Police say a 28-year-old man was killed in a fiery crash early Sunday morning near 29th Street North and Cromwell, about two blocks east of Amidon. 

 Police say the driver of the Corvette was traveling west on 29th at high speed when he struck a power pole in two places. The car travelled about 50 more yards before it stopped and caught fire. The driver was dead at the scene. The name of the man is being witheld pending notification  of relatives. This is the third traffic related death worked by Wichita Police this year.
