WSU food for Haiti

Hundreds of volunteers are expected, as Wichita State University and the group Numana, plan to send one-million meals to Haiti.

The food packaging event is underway at the Hughes Metroplex in the 2900 block of North Oliver. Volunteers are needed for one hour shifts for packers and four-hour shifts for coodinators. The food packaging event, created by the group Numana, runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
