Woman robbed during struggle with attacker

A 21-year-old woman was attacked and robbed in a south Wichita parking lot late Thursday night.  Police spokesman Gordon Bassham said this happened in the 500 block of West Pawnee around 11:30 pm.  Bassham said the woman was leaving work when a man approached and threw her to the ground.

Bassham said the woman fought the attacker and one of the attacker's fingernails was torn off in the struggle, but the man got away with her wallet.  The woman was not seriously hurt.

The attacker was described as an African American man in his 20's with a slim build and corn-row hair.   He was driving a 1994 to 99 model Chrysler Concorde LHS, which was black with gray trim.
