A Nebraska economist who oversees an economic report on several Midwestern states says Kansas is showing signs of economic recovery.
Ernie Goss, an economist from Creighton, says Kansas is making slow progress in meeting regional data that indicates an economic turnaround.
The state's economy has been plagued by weaknesses in aircraft manufacturing, telecommunications and agriculture.
But Goss says that improvements in the global, national and regional economies will help growth in aircraft production, farming and industries tied to farming.
