The Kansas Food Bank has received a $41,000 matching grant from the Sunflower Foundation, based in Topeka.
The grant will offset the cost of supplying boxes of food to those seeking help from the Center for Laid-Off Workers through the coming year. Nearly 500 people have registered to get assistance at the center when it opens again Monday, July 6th. The Food Bank gave out 360 food boxes in June.
