An organization that promotes downtown Wichita has chosen a new president. Jeff Fluhr will be the president for the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation. He told government and business leaders that he's excited to be in Wichita, and he said the city has great assets in the river, Old Town, and the arena that's under construction.
Fluhr will begin work September 15th. He comes to Wichita from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was assistant executive director for that city's downtown development district.
Fluhr says he wants to get acquainted with the people and organizations involved in downtown Wichita, and he wants to begin work on a master plan for downtown development.
